Wednesday Words
Midweek Reflections in the Journey of Making His Words at Home in Our Hearts!
This week, our verses encouraged us to, “Let us”…
- reason together
- make every effort
- hold firmly to the faith we profess
- approach the throne of GRACE with confidence
- let us return to the Lord.
Hosea 6:3 says, – “Let us know, let us press on to know the Lord. His going forth is as certain as the dawn, and He will come to us like the rain, like the spring rains watering the earth.”
God invites us to know Him—to acknowledge Him and to keep pressing on, day after day, to know Him more deeply. Just as we can count on the sun to rise at dawn each morning, we can be sure that He will come to us. And just as spring rains refresh the earth, soften the soil, and awaken seeds to grow into nourishing fruit, so the Lord brings His life-giving water through His Word—softening the soil of our hearts, nurturing the good seed He has planted, and producing fruit in our lives.
This is the heart behind “His Words at Home in My Heart”—to let God’s Word water my heart, by reading the verse, along with surrounding verses for understanding the context, and handwriting the verse of the day, allowing it to take root and grow my understanding of who He is, while gaining wisdom for life.
And I want to invite you to join me on this journey!
As we grow in relationship with our Maker, our lives become fruitful—and that fruit can be shared with others. Just like growing real fruit, this takes time, care, and perseverance. Galatians 6:9 reminds us: “Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest, if we do not give up.”
It’s never too late to begin. Let’s press on together, making His Words at Home in our Hearts—so that we may grow, flourish, and bless others with the fruit He produces in us.
Blessings and Hugs to you!! ![]()
